The Kýma wines from our Cavas Hill winery have achieved a magnificent result in the 56 Tastavins Contest that rewards the best DO Penedès wines. Kýma Syrah 2018 has been recognized with the Gold medal for Best Crianza Red Wine; while the Kýma Macabeo 2019 has obtained the Silver Medal in the category of the best aged white wines.

The Tastavins DO Penedès is organized by the Tastavins Penedès Academy with the technical support of the DO Penedès and the collaboration of the Vilafranca del Penedès City Council. The Contest is divided into 7 categories -Whites, Crianza Whites, Rosés, Reds, Crianza Reds, Classic Penedès Sparkling Wines and Xarel lo wines.

After two years in which the health situation has marked the format of the event, this year it has been possible to celebrate with total normality. This year, 24 DO Penedès wineries have been recognized with one or more awards at an awards ceremony held at the Vilafranca del Penedès Auditorium and led by the communicator and sommelier, Meritxell Falgueras.
